Texas Wildflower Shoes

Creation of 5 unique fabric pattern designs for use on canvas shoes, along with a comprehensive launch package. This package covered a collection-specific shoe box and tissue paper design, a small print insert, sample desktop and mobile website banners.
Concept
This collection was inspired by 4 wildflowers native to Texas: Purple Coneflower, Indian Paintbrush, Bluebonnet, and Indian Blanket. A unique pattern was designed for each flower as well as a pattern containing all 4 flowers.
Process
Each pattern was created by hand drawing elements of each flower on a sheet of paper, photographing the sheet, and bringing it into Adobe Illustrator. Once the images were in the application, the individual elements were vectorized and used to assemble each flower digitally. After assembling multiple flowers, the illustrations were made into 10”x10” patterns and revised until each design created nice repeats that felt visually balanced.
